1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, such as your login session or preferences. We use cookies sparingly and only when necessary.
2. Cookies We Use
KnowMan uses three categories of cookies and similar storage:
- Essential — Required for the service to function. These keep you signed in, remember your session and your choice on this page, hold an approximate region hint so we know whether to ask you, and let us report errors (Sentry error monitoring). You cannot opt out of these without losing access to your account.
- Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics 4 measures which pages and features are used so we can improve KnowMan. It runs by default, and it stays off if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. You can switch it off at any time with the "Privacy choices" link on our public pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page visits without cookies; it is included in the same switch.
- Session recording (optional) — Microsoft Clarity and Sentry Session Replay record how the app is used (pages visited, clicks, scrolls, device and browser information) to find usability problems and errors. Text is masked in recordings, but recordings are still data about your use of KnowMan and are not anonymous. They run by default, and they stay off if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. You can switch them off at any time with the "Privacy choices" link on our public pages. We do not use them for advertising.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link on our public pages, or in KnowMan Settings.
3. What We Do Not Use
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not share cookie data with advertising networks.
- We do not use cookies to build cross-site tracking profiles.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View and delete cookies stored by websites you visit.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Set preferences for specific websites.
Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to KnowMan.
